I’m sure this is how it works in theory, but I drive by farmland on a daily basis and have never seen anything from the 21st or even 20th century. Probably you are thinking of something else.
lmao "i drive by farms sometimes I know what im talking about"
farmers are driving the right to repair movement by hacking their own tractors.
25
have never seen anything from the 21st or even 20th century
Haven't you literally seen a single tractor? Also, if we assume that farms nearby you actually are poorly financed and don't use much tech, you really think that farmers don't know what internet is?

I refuse to be talked to this way by a “MemeLord.”
Okay, Mr. Dickus Maximus. I actually want to change the nickname on this shitty website

bros litterally called Lucius Dickus Maximus 💀

You are an idiot and a jackass.

I’ve been a keynote speaker at several conferences about theoretical computer science but yeah I guess your opinion is more valuable than that
Congratulations, you're still an idiot.
7
Source : trust me bro
5
You are an arrogant idiot then

I'm not saying every farm is like this. I would even say the small farms are excluded. It's big ones I'm talking about.

Check out some of the farming YouTubers like Millennial Farmer and Larson Farms. Those guys are the rule not the exception.

Exactly I put the first satellite network in an iowa cornfield 25 years ago

Have you used the internet before? Farmers are everywhere. I've seen entire farmer communities in comment sections of YouTube videos discussing their strategies for efficiently picking walnuts from trees. I've seen farmers in different continents helping each other diagnose tech problems on online forums (reddit is one such forum).
Maybe when urbanites learn how to use the internet, we'll see a boom in actually insightful comments. What we have now is an abundance of questions that could easily be answered with a single google search. People who have the most access to resources are the least resourceful people, I swear.
10
Anyone can pretend to be or roleplay as a farmer
Just like anyone can be completely ignorant about a population and still make claims about them
7
So you're saying all the videos of people showing how farming works are all fake?
5
Touché.
1
You're really set on believing that anyone who works a farm is some backwards bumkin from the 1700s, aren't you?
2
Not so much bumpkins but behind the times for sure. I made a joke to a farmer the other day about how the Russians were wasting a lot of resources trying to invade Ukray and he was super confused. I’m not sure if word has reached the farm yet

That goes for basically any profession.

Also, the auto-mod bot is all but impossible to get past. I've tried to submit relatively interesting shower thoughts and I never get past moderation though I break none of the rules. And the mods never respond after doing the little checklist quiz.

They will be able to learn about new techniques from other farmers and probably will be able to learn that there is a world outside of the countryside (they’re not just giving fruits and veggies to a random scary man on a truck, it’s a middleman who is bringing food into something called the city)
Sounds like you're totally ignorant about modern agricultural practices, then. I'd encourage you to educate yourself on the subject. Farmers in my area use robotic milkers, put collars around their cows that collect data on everything from the amount of milk they produce to how often they chew their cud ( an indication of their eating habits and overall health) and use online programs to determine insemination schedules. I'm not even a farmer, and I know this stuff. A true agricultural professional could really help you to understand their business. I hope you will follow up and learn about it!

It just basically means you don't know. No need to get defensive.

OP blew straight past ignorant and got arrogant.
13
Ignorant of ignorance.

When perpetually online idiots learn that farmers have a greater in depth understanding and application of technology than them, then we will see a fall in dumb shower thoughts.
Edit: Also, what the hell do you think we have now? A fall in agriculture?
4
Morons gonna moron, what can you do
5
What the fuck kind of dumb ass shower thought is this?
Farmers are highly proficient in technology. Many of them use GIS to help with land maintenance, flood prevention, planning, and many more have to hack their equipment to perform upgrades and maintenance because of John Deere repair monopolies. Many possess advanced degrees in agriculture, engineering, or other studies.
To suggest a farmer is stupid and can't use the internet because they're a farmer is an inherently stupid idea, and strongly suggests you are of both low information and low IQ.
