What is up with the green apples everyone is calling red apples? Where have red apples gone?

It’s been about a year and a half since I last saw red apples. I ask for them at every store I go to, and the employees will usually just lead me to these green apples which I guess as genetically equivalent and taste toughly the same, but are not RED apples. I’ve had this happen in at least 5 other cities, so the problem seems to be widespread. Even the Wikipedia page for red apple shows only these green apple hybrids. What’s going on?

Answer: Op, idk how to tell you this, but you might be color blind. That link you posted shows red apples in the pictures.

Edit 2: It is a 50/50 shot that OP is trolling or serious. I haven't decided yet. It is possible to become color blind later in life, but it is kinda rare. The fact that they didn't ask about stop signs becoming green gives me pause.

I am almost certain it's just trolling. The account is a community account and most every post made under it are just trolling on different subs.

It is a 50/50 shot that OP is trolling or serious. I haven't decided yet. It is possible to become color blind later in life, but it is kinda rare. The fact that they didn't ask about stop signs becoming green gives me pause.

That was my first thought as well. Acquired color blindness is a thing and needs to be checked by a professional as there can be other issues.

OP have you been playing with high powered lasers with out proper protection.. know looking at the dot from my 1watt blue laser screwed my ability to see greens for a few months

Answer: If you're not trolling, you need to go see a doctor because that sounds like acquired colorblindness, which can be a sign of some very serious diseases like Alzheimers and MS.
