What a horrible thing to do, why would you steal AND damage clothes so that others won't or can't actually use them? You are stealing from the thrift store and whoever they might have helped with that money.
What's extra baffling is you thought you would get fake internet points for being a selfish criminal.

I find clothes with loose button and “accidentally” pluck them off. Damn shame those things fall right into my pocket and I don’t notice til I get home!

So you're damaging clothes at the thrift so others can't enjoy them, stealing (yes, it's stealing, no matter the cost of the original item) and then hoarding them.
Not really sure what your endgame is here but moving forward I hope you see the broad picture and leave things alone for other people to enjoy.
