TIFU by thinking I was getting pulled over by an ambulance and blocking it from getting to an emergency

I got back late last night from Europe and I’m still super jet lagged. This morning on my way to work I saw flashing lights behind me. I thought it was a cop car pulling me over since I was speeding, so I pulled over in the middle of the road. It was a tight one way with cars parked on both sides, so there was no room. I sat there for a minute or two until I saw a man exit the car. I thought it was a cop until he came to my window and screamed at me to move. I saw that it was a paramedic. I felt so dumb.

I blame a combination of jet lag and the fact that the cop cars that had pulled me over in Europe were big vans so the shape of the ambulance in my rear view did not seem out of place. It also probably would have helped if I hadn’t been wearing noise canceling headphones— it took me too long to realize the vibrations I was feeling in my car were from the ambulance’s horn.

TL;DR: I thought an ambulance was a cop car pulling me over and I blocked it.
