I posted an Instagram story video of my boyfriend failing a leapfrog over a fire hydrant, his pants getting caught and ripping wide open, and him flying into the street. I used the Purple Heart emoji (đ) to censor his exposed a**hole and the front side danglers. Then I got this text from my uncle. Would yâall consider the emoji stolen valor?

Yeah itâs stolen valor. I found heart in the trenches of 2008 demanding a Purple Heart emoji to be added. Were you even there? No. I doubt it. Delete it.
(This is sarcasm and the fact I have to say that it is is disturbing)

Tell your uncle you asked around and everyone you talked to said that the emoji is of a purple heart, not of a Purple Heart.
Add that people were surprised that image, which bears no resemblance to the medal, was being confused as representing the medal.
Now, and this is very important: at the end of your message, and with zero context, add the gold star emoji.

No. Closest thing is he watches a bunch of World War II documentaries and yells at the TV about poor strategy and how poorly organized the ranks are. He also doesnât consider D-Day a victory because he thinks he could have done it with less casualties.

Hahahaha tell him to shut the fuck up

Ah yes, the old armchair SACEUR

He had 20 years plus to prove he could do war better than the rest of us....but he chose to stay home and talk shit.
He's about hardcore as tits on a bull.

Dude definitely wears a Vietnam hat Everytime he leaves the house, always asks for a vet discount and probably worked as a mechanic

He probably serves as a Captain in his airsoft battalion.

Disagree. Yeah to be convicted of stolen valor you need to try and get a benefit. But you can still be a douche bag just by pretending to have unearned medals or service.

My favorite comment. Eye opening. How do I find out whether a person is actually the person? Like, where do I find that the OP was a yoga instructor? Additionally, in this fucked up day and age, They may have Identified as all of those thingsđ€Ł

Hahaha their post history. But bro deleted a bunch. lol the crazy part is youâre right especially on Reddit if someone wants to identify as a man, woman, millionaire, homeless, yoga instructor and samurai well how dare you tell them otherwise.. lol

Did your uncle actually serve?
I have an uncle like that who âalmost joinedâ.

Nope. Tried to and couldnât. Itâs actually quite sad to see how much that one rejection has affected him to this day
3
How did I know? lol
Until troops start wearing emojis on their uniforms, I think youâre ok lol
And thereâs no shame in trying. But it certainly doesnât make him the emoji police

Itâs not something everyone understands the joke behind.
You have the right to post it, but if you joke about things like that, expect people to react.
Also, a moment of silence for the pants.

She wasnât making a joke. It just so happened that the purple heart was the emoji she used; she wasnât referencing him being hurt/the pants, she was just censoring the nudity.
