If George Washington hadn’t become infertile, would the USA be doomed to become a monarchy?

Imagine if George Washington was able to have children and had a son. An heir. Even if the Constitution was the exact same, probably everyone would just assume his son should be the next President, and then people would probably just scratch the whole democracy thing and become a monarchy.

Whichever Red Coat shot that bullet probably wasn’t aiming for his package (anyone who thinks a musket could be that accurate should try to fire one lol) but they might have changed the fate of the entire world. The shot heard round the world might not have been fired at Lexington and Concord.

No, but we may have had another Washington as president like JQA.

This is the ticket. As long as he isn’t a complete degenerate “I’m Washington’s direct son” would carry incredible election weight.

What if George Washington came alive from Mount Rushmore, would the USA be doomed to have him as a stone golem emperor?

You’re a high level troll. 10/10 enjoy your posts/work. This is how to do it without being cringey, blatant, over the top.

No, at most they would become a political dynasty akin to the bushes, adams, or harrisons.

Yep.

People forget how divided the colonies really were and how quickly the North and South drifted in different directions.

It is hard to see anyone having a political dynasty of 15-20 years.

Yes but he had something very important, the loyalty of the Army. Remember, George Washington willingly stepped down from power, but would he have done this if he had the ability to establish a dynasty? We will never really know.

I thought he was infertile from an illness?

He had a bad case of smallpox when he was 20 that is thought to have made him infertile.

I believe it is debated to this very day. I personally think the smallpox explanation is unconvincing.
