Imagine if George Washington was able to have children and had a son. An heir. Even if the Constitution was the exact same, probably everyone would just assume his son should be the next President, and then people would probably just scratch the whole democracy thing and become a monarchy.
Whichever Red Coat shot that bullet probably wasn’t aiming for his package (anyone who thinks a musket could be that accurate should try to fire one lol) but they might have changed the fate of the entire world. The shot heard round the world might not have been fired at Lexington and Concord.

This is the ticket. As long as he isn’t a complete degenerate “I’m Washington’s direct son” would carry incredible election weight.

People forget how divided the colonies really were and how quickly the North and South drifted in different directions.
It is hard to see anyone having a political dynasty of 15-20 years.

Yes but he had something very important, the loyalty of the Army. Remember, George Washington willingly stepped down from power, but would he have done this if he had the ability to establish a dynasty? We will never really know.

He had a bad case of smallpox when he was 20 that is thought to have made him infertile.

I believe it is debated to this very day. I personally think the smallpox explanation is unconvincing.
