I almost got into an accident because of my anxiety

I bike a lot and hate hate hate the parts where I have to interact with motorists because I’m super insecure about being perceived. So I always felt very uncomfortable about doing hand turn signals. But ever since the Elon Nazi salute thing, I’ve been really hesitant to do a right hand turn signal because of how it resembles a salute. I know it’s stupid but my anxiety is not logical or rational. Today I was biking by a cyber truck so the association in my brain was super ripe. I had to make a right turn, but I panicked when I was about to signal right so I just didn’t and I turned right. A car came I didn’t see came to a screeching halt within literal inches of me. I likely would have been crippled but for their reaction time. I took an uber home and haven’t left my bed since.
