We are trying to figure out how I can change my destination from my driver’s end since my app died and won’t reopen. Any idea?

Same! The title is likely problematic. I was horrified for a minute.

OP needed to specify the app

That would've helped 😆

I thought he meant the car

me too! And all they cared about was changing the destination on the deceased’s phone!

Why would you think that
1
Because they didn’t specify the app. I’m not the only one either
3
He obviously meant app though I don’t get it?
Because usually if someone meant the app, they’d specify the app. If someone meant the driver, they’d say something like “My Uber refused to cancel the ride”

I disagree with you. You assuming the driver died is an overreaction.
I literally wasn’t the only one but ok
2
Yes but saying that is a cope. And quite frankly I believe you were the only one and that the driver obviously didn’t die. You need to apologise.
For what? I literally said I wasn’t the only person. Just look at the other comments. Stop trying to cause an argument

Turn your phone off and on again. Then try the app.
If that doesn’t work, reinstall the app.

You can't. Just have him drive to where you want to go and have him end the ride there. You'll be charged for the distance and time traveled. The only inconvenience that will occur is that it will be difficult for him to get his next ride before the ride ends because the app will think he's going somewhere else and will thus be somewhere else when the ride ends.
Ignore anyone who tells you this isn't possible or that it's a liability problem. It's not.

There is no way for the driver to change your destination.
Force quit the app on your phone.
