Kathy had nothing going for her besides being marginally attractive, which Pam already was + she was Jim's soulmate. Remember when Kathy was on the phone recounting to her friend that Jim and Pam's marriage was "not good"? She was delusional. Then when she shamefully throws herself at Jim and gets called out for it, she gaslights him into letting her stay more time in his hotel room. She's a nutcase. Pam had good reasons to cheat on Roy with Jim, Jim has NONE of those same reasons.
