Not OP, nor am I claiming to be an authority on this subject (though to be honest my experience does qualify me to answer, at least in my own opinion {which should not be taken to reflect the views of my family-- for their opinion, you should as them}, and the fact that everyone, including myself, is entitled to his or her (or whatever pronouns a person identifies with) opinion) and it should be noted that this happened not today, even though the name of this subreddit implies that it was today, but allow me to try my best to answer your question, if I may. Before I continue, I should add that my inbox is ALWAYS open for PMs if you have any questions, comments, or concerns; I do not wish to offend any person or invalidate their experiences in any way at all: these are the values I was raised on, and I will pass them onto my children when I choose to have children (probably a boy and a girl). Anywho, without any further ado, as I realize I have kept you a little long with this response-- but I do believe this is important contextual information for my post.
