Apples are just naturally sweet. Their juice contains lots of natural sugar.

I have an apple tree in my sidewalk and i have noticed that the apples are very not sweet.

There are a shit-ton of different types of apple. Some are less sweet. Google crabapple.

There's about 7,500 worldwide. The United States grows 2,500 of these, but just 100 of them are grown commercially.
