Before I left for college, my dad was giving me tips on how to survive my first year. One of them was: "men don't drink fresh coffee." I thought he was trying to be funny, as he is known to enjoy dead-pan humour.
Fast forward to last week. I was tired as fuck and needed to study. I saw a cup of coffee had been left in my common room, and, being desperate, I downed it. It was the greatest cup of coffee I ever head. When my roommate came home, I asked him what coffee he had. He looked confused and told me didn't drink coffee. Then it hit me: that cup of coffee was one I had poured the previous day and forgot about.
For the past week I have been pouring myself cups of instant, pouring milk into it, and leaving it for the next day. Never have I enjoyed coffee more. Something about the aging of the milk does it for me. I should also add that my common room is really dusty, and I suspect the specks of dust in the coffee improve the texture significantly.
I gave my roommate a sip of my coffee one day and now he is hooked, so I know it not just me.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I told some friends and they told me I was crazy.

Id say this is accurately titled unpop opinion because, it's definitely not better! Ive had lots of coffee, as Im sure so many people have, but in my tiny circle, Im the coffee guy. The one who people think "makes it the best". I even worked at a coffee bar. I have never in my life thought old coffee was better in taste. In fact sometimes just an hour can change the flavor if its sitting on a burner.
