Even though people have a fifty percent chance of winning the lottery (either win or lose), many people are scared to play.

Fun fact, you are more likely to get killed by your close family member than win a lottery, and if you win, chances of getting killed by a close family member grow exponentionally

there are many more losing tickets/ chances than winners so the chance of winning is far from 50/50.

You have calculated the possibilty not the probability.

Just because a choice is binary does not make it fifty fifty.

You clearly don't understand how probability works. In any bet you either make it or you don't. That has nothing to do with the probability of making it.

Check your math. Those are the possible outcomes not the chance of winning. It would be fifty fifty if the only numbers drawn were 1 or 0.

I’m not “scared” to play, I understand the odds so refuse to waste the money.
