Why is my girlfriend so insecure that doesn't have sex with me but just asked for an open relationship?

I think you should ask your girlfriend this question. But I gotta say, if she isn't comfortable enough with you to have sex with you, then you guys definitely aren't secure enough to handle an open relationship. The whole point of an open relationship is to have sex with people. Honestly it sounds like she wants to break up with you, but she wants to find a new boyfriend before she does so.

If she wants to be in an 'open' relationship, whether sex is involved or not, then dump her.

No I'm pretty sure she's just insecure and doesn't want me to be disappointed that's what my cousin Dennis said and he is speaking from experience

I think you and your cousin Dennis both don't have enough experience with women and are wrong.

If she wants to have sex with others, sh e's not insecure. If she doesn't want to have sex with you, there's a big problem.

If she's asking for an open relationship, it's time to break up with her.
