I (M19) spent half of me and my wife's (35F) savings on lottery tickets and she's mad

My cousin Dennis recently revealed to me that I have a 50% chance to win the lottery because either I win or I lose. That really opened my eyes, so I went out and bought a couple hundred of those "Thousand dollars a month for the rest of your life" tickets because by these odds, I'm bound to win. Only problem is, i forgot to tell my wife. But the way i see it, once i won the money i was gonna surprise her: she can stop practicing law because we're set for life. She didn't see it that way. She left our apartment and isn't returning my calls. WDID?

Lottery is nothing but gambling .. you need to restrict the amount you spend . You may need to revisit your thinking and try to find way out to talk and convince her.

You’re right you either win or lose but you have only one way to win and thousands of ways to lose. Also I sort of blame your wife for marrying a dumb child but hey I bet the sex is great

Well your cousin Dennis is wrong and there is not a 50% chance of winning just because you either win or lose. That is not how probability works. Now you wasted half of your savings and most likely won’t win. I’d be mad too.
