I'm calling bs on this question, but just in case - it's fructose, which is a natural fruit sugar. Apples, grapes, peaches, all fruits have it, and many have much more of it than oranges.

Nature puts sugar into oranges, if that's what you mean.

Most sugar consumed comes from two sources. Sugar Beets and Sugar Cane. Both are plants. They are farmed like other crops and harvested, and then put into bags and sent to the grocery stores (there are some other stuff that goes on, but that's the essence).

Sugar is not made in labs. It's grown. Just like oranges.

Where do you think sugars come from in the first place? If you buy sugar in a bag from a store, it came from plants, through a process called photosynthesis.

Are you joking? If so it's a bit obscure. No, all sugar that we consume comes from one plant or another. Usually sugar cane or sugar beets, but it's also found in most if not all fruits.

No, sugar is natural.

The sugar in plants is an organic molecule. It occurs naturally in many different plants. It's a type of hydrocarbon - a molecule made up of hydrogen and carbon atoms in a long chain. Many other molecules that naturally occur in living creatures are also hydrocarbons, such as fats and oils.
