At the time, I was living in Slovakian Scholastic Commune. The cohorts were alphabetized and there were 41 people in my commune with names with at least 2 a's in front. The longest was Aaaaaawencelclovynski.
This meant that at dinner time, I had to wait at least 30 minutes to eat, since people were called up alphabetically. Well, I got sick of it. I asked the dining director if there was any way I could get my food earlier, but he said rules are rules. So I changed my name. That's the kind of guy I am.
Could have changed it back, but I think it's funnier this way, plus I always get to go first in alphabetized settings.

EDIT: not the only perfect numbers, but two of the known perfect numbers.
