TIFU by... well, fucking U.P. and potentially fucking up her marriage

Obligatory not today but this morning.

I was eating breakfast in a cafe when a girl I knew from high school named Ursula Peterson (fake name obviously but same initials) walked in and ordered a latte. We both had crushes on each other, but we never got the timing right. She spotted me and came over to say hi.

"Hey stranger! It's been a while," I said. We sat together for like an hour catching up, and then she paused and looked at me as if she wanted to ask something, but couldn't.

"What?"

"Do you-- y'know... have someone?" I shook my head and she told me that she didn't either. At that point, I had to go back home to attend a Zoom meeting for work, but I invited her over.

When we got back, I told my boss my internet wasn't working, and me and her fucked on the couch, and then afterwards went onto the Zoom call. She didn't know my camera was on, so at one point, while I was talking, she came over and leaned over my shoulder to see the screen, and then turned bright red and ran off.

I wish that was the fuck up. It wasn't.

After the meeting, I told her it was fine that she was on the camera, because that sort of thing has happened multiple times to other people. Then she explained to me that the reason she was embarrassed wasn't because she was on camera, but rather that her husband's cousin was on the meeting and he definitely made a confused face when she appeared on camera.

So not only did she lie to me about not having a husband, but I probably have screwed up her marriage.

TL;DR Fucked up by fucking U.P. and fucking up her fucked up marriage
