As a guy who's been in the industry for 15 years PLEASE STOP DOING THIS!!!!

I have thrown out 9 the last 13 scripts I had sent to me by newbies. Actually thrown them out because they made me so mad. And they all shared the same common mistake that is just so laughably fixable. You can ask my secretary: I literally was in TEARS laughing how easy it is to fix this mistake. You ready for the mistake? Here it is:

STOP USING ROMAN NUMERALS TO NUMBER YOUR ACTS.

This isn't fucking Pompeii. And last time I checked, your last name is not "Caesar" (Unless you're related to Little, in which case tell him his pizza sucks). So why the fuck are you using roman numerals to number your acts?

Personally, as soon as I open the script and see "Act I" I physically fucking vomit. It's so ameateur and tells me: "dur... I never learned to count!"

It's Act 1, not Act I. It's Act 5, not Act IIIII. Drill this into your heads.

If you're sending a script to Romulus' production company, maybe he'll think differently. But for people in this century, use English Numerals please.

I'm sorry if this came across harsh, that was not my intention. I just hope that I presented it in a way that you will remember.

Anyway, rant over. I have to go fetch a coffee for my boss, but I'll be back in a couple hours if anyone has any questions.

Seems like a pretty minor thing to be this upset.

Does it upset you this much because you don’t know Roman numerals?

Slightly off topic but what kind of scripts is your boss interested in?
