Just read this beautiful quote about family in my novel, thought I'd share :)

"James stared at the wounded man with devilish eyes.

'What does family mean to me?' he began. 'You really want to know, bitch? Here's what family means to me: it' not just a bunch o' people who share the same last name, or a roof. It's not about DNA, eitha'. It's about the bond. You studied chemistry, right, bitch? You learn about ionic bonds? They're strong as fucking steel. Steel! And to break that bond, you'd need a fuckin' nuclear bomb or something. Or stronger. I dunno, mate, I fuckin' failed science in uni.'

The wounded man groaned. He brushed the debris off of his pants and stood up.

'Then why'd you kill your own family, bitch?' the wounded man said with a chuckle. James growled.

'I had no choice. If I didn't, the fucking town was gonna blow up. You'd never understand.'"
