I set up my friend to get rejected by her crush and it has destroyed her social life

You ever had a friend pine over a boy so long, to the point where she just keeps talking about him and how she wishes he would notice her and she's making playlists based on his vibe and so on and so on and so on? I recently had a friend (let's call her Urgula) crush on a guy (we can call him Lottiko) since the semester started in August; Urgula first saw Lottiko in her architecture seminar and, ever since, she's been dreaming of having his babies. And the other day, I was about ready to tear all the fucking hair out of my head from hearing about it.

It's important to note: there was no shot in hell that Lottiko would ever go out with Urgula. Lottiko is on the heavyweight crew team, is 6'5", and, from what I can gather, hooks up exclusively with 10s. No offense to Urgula, but she's a nerd with atrocious acne and absolutely no charm. Some in cels will say that even the ugliest woman can get laid, but Urgula really challenges that notion.

But I had had enough. I think the final straw was when Urgula skipped my improv troupes' daytime show to go to watch one of Lottiko's races down on the harbor. I couldn't take it anymore. So I decided to concoct a plan that would end Urgula's infatuation with Lottiko: I would make her ask him out and get rejected. It sounds cruel but she really needed a reality check.

So I hit up one of the guys on the heavyweight crew team that's in my econ class and told him about the situation. I offered to do all of his problem sets for the rest of the semester if he approached Urgula and told him that Lottiko wants her to ask him to the college formal that is happening this upcoming weekend-- it was one of those weird anti-sexist girl-ask-guy affairs. He was all too eager to comply, and that night he told her the news.

My god was she happy. I'd never seen her so jazzed and energetic: she did this little dance around our coffee table and chanted "I'm gonna screw the crew! I'm gonna screw the crew!"

The next day, I helped her make a poster and gave her the pep talk of her life and sent her on her way to ask out Lottiko. I should have stayed behind to avoid the cringe, but I couldn't help myself. I sat on a little bench nearby and watched as Urgula approached Lottiko with a glowing smile, poster in hands. That's when the unexpected happened: instead of the soft rejection I was expecting, the entire heavyweight crew team jumped out of the bushes and started yelling "No way! Go Away! No way! Go Away!" And someone filmed the whole thing.

Apparently, the crew team decided to use my plan to stage a TikTok to imitate one that our rival team did with the same chant-- must be British humor because I do not get it at all. It went viral (on campus, at least) and now everyone has seen Urgula get utterly humiliated. Worse, Lottiko told her it was all my idea, and she won't even speak to me. I'm concerned for her... I never meant for it to go this far.
