You clearly not seen a zoo where natural obstacles (ditches, etc) are used to prevent animals attacking humans. Like this Hungarian zoo in Nyíregyháza (https://www.sostozoo.hu/). It's amazing that you can observe many-many animals in huge areas without anything perceivable between them and you.
